I went to the gym today and my weigh in was 51.2 pounds down from surgery day! Yay me! I still feel guilty for losinng weight even when I do NOTHING to help my cause. I think I found the ice cream stash more than once this week - shhhhh! Don't tell!
My new Danish au pair totally rocks. She's been here for about 10 days so far and is proving to be a great match for our family! We had a blast celebrating a Danish holiday today. The girls dressed up in princess outfits, nanny as a witch, and me in my LA Kings hockey jersey (complete with black eyes and "missing teeth") - which is so not cool in the O.C.! We hit a barrel (pinata) with a cat (candy) inside and ate these incredible homemade buns with pudding and frosting. I really have no idea what it was all about but it is supposed to be similar to Halloween. Good times!
In fact, today I am guesting on nanny's laptop because mine decided today to not work anymore. It is realllllly weird typing with a Danish computer... the keyboard is full of those funny letters like the 'o' with a slash through it, the Æ letters and all that Scandinavian jazz. So if there is a typo, you will have to forgive me until I can edit this thing on a computer that speaks my language! Danish spell check thinks every word is wrong!! And, the screen is so tiny, that I can fit my entire palm on the screen and fill it up completely, so I can't even see what I am writing!
I like to follow other multiple mom's blog's and one multiples community blogsite featured me today! Check out my post at Multiples.... and More. Better yet, go send them some bloggy love too! I know I will, as soon as 1) I wake up, or 2) find an English computer that works, or 3) get to work ad hijack their laptop!
Have a great day, dear readers!!
I so wish I could have an au pair! I'd love to hear more about them, although I probably could never afford one! LOL Love your blog. Congrats on your weightloss!

Thanks Jenni! It's totally affordable... seriously! I thought you had to be one of the elite in order to have a live in nanny. Well, it turns out, not so much. ;-)
ReplyDeleteTami...That's awesome that you have lost all that weight. I wish our international student was an au pair, but no he's just a student. Hope you are well. Tell our birth buddies we said "hello"
ReplyDeleteMonica Brito
MONICA!!! Hi!!! Everyone, Monica was so "fortunate" to have her twins about an hour or so after my second set and we recovered together at the "Huntington Hotel". I was so whacked out on meds that I am sure I drove her nuts, but she still actually talks to me, so that's good. :-) I'm heading over to your blog right now and maybe catch a glimpse of your growing Twinkies!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed stopping by your blog after seeing the post on Multiples and More today! Congratulations of your weight loss success! That's fantastic!!! You go girl!
ReplyDeleteFound you on M&M. Glad I did! I'm only just moving my website over to blogger, so if you decide to investigate me, don't judge for a few weeks... I'm still moving stuff over. :)
ReplyDeleteCongerats on the scale and the au paire!
ReplyDeleteI saw you on Multiples and More. Congratulations on your weight loss! My sister had WLS in November. Here blog is lifeisjustsplenda.blogspot.com in case you are interested in reading about her experience.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you!
Thanks to all of your comments! Especially the new readers over at multiples and more! I have SO MUCH MORE TO SAY ... now I need a personal assistant to blog for me... to just transcribe whatever I say while my brain flies at a million miles per hour....! Anyone else have one of those? It's got to beat blogging when the kids are in the bath or when you sneak into the potty with a laptop!
